Rust preventive alkyd primers resist moisture and corrosion. Prime first for best finish. Apply at least 1 coat of rust coat primer to wood and metal before painting. Bonds topcoat to the surface and helps resist chipping and peeling. Indoor/outdoor use. Red primer is same quality as red oxide. Approximate surface coverage: 25 Sq. Ft. per half pint, 100 Sq. Ft. per quart, and 400 Sq. Ft. per gallon.
